Artists – Information & Submission Form

The St. Helen’s Fine Art Fair will be accepting submissions in November 2024

Below is everything you need to prepare yourself for the St. Helen’s Art Fair,

There is a $5.00 entry fee for each piece of art submitted and a 20% commission for each piece of art sold.

How to Enter

  • Use the online form to list and describe your art that you wish to display and sell during the Art Fair;
  • You can submit multiple works of art with one form and multiple submissions if necessary;
  • Enter your contact information, including:
    • name,  
    • email address,  
    • primary phone number,  
    • mailing address,  
    • a short bio of yourself and picture of yourself (optional); 
    • your own website address if you use one (optional). 
  • For each piece of art submitted for sale, please enter the following information: 
    • A digital image of the art work as it is to be displayed and sold;
    • The name or title of the art work that you wish displayed with the image;
    • The medium used for the art (oil, water colour, ceramic, glass etc);
    • The size or dimensions of the art work including dimensions of the picture and the frame;
    • The selling price.
  • Indicate if you will bring your own mounting grid(s) or will require us to supply the display grid(s). We will offer two options:
    • 8 linear feet for a surcharge of $12, or
    • 12 linear feet for a surcharge of $14.
  • The Church may use edited images of the artwork and bio submitted for the exhibition for promotional purposes. The use of such will not be subject to copyright or other legislation.
  • When your form is received, your artwork and descriptions will be posted on St. Helen’s Art Fair website.

Your Entry Fee Invoice

  • You will receive an email report on the art work you have submitted which will include the invoice for the number of pieces submitted;
    • There is a $5.00 non-refundable fee for each piece of art submitted for display and sale;
    • A $12 or $14 surcharge will be added to your entry fee if we supply mounting grids
    • The entry fee and any surcharge will be paid at the church the day before the Art Fair when you set up your display;
  • Payment with debit/credit card is preferred, or cheque or cash. Cheques must be made out to St. Helen’s Anglican Church and marked as payment for the Art Fair.

Art Fair Setup

  • Artists will set up their displays on Friday, May 31st, between 1:00pm & 3:00pm or 7:00pm & 9:00pm;
  • Each artist will be allocated a booth approximately 10ft x 16ft that will include a table & chair and mounting grid(s) if not supplied by the artist;
  • A SALES document and a SOLD ribbon will be provided to each artist for each piece of art submitted for sale;
  • All COVID screening and restrictions in place at the time will be followed by everyone entering the church.

Selling Your Art

  • The Art Fair will take place on Saturday, June 1st, between 10:00am & 3:00pm at St. Helen’s Anglican Church, 1234 Prestone Dr., Orleans;
  • The artist or their representative must be present throughout the Art Fair (only one person per artist’s station please);
  • When an artwork is sold, complete the SALES document for the purchaser and attach a SOLD ribbon to the artwork;
  • Sold artwork is provided to the purchaser only when they have returned from the Payment Desk with the verified SALES document.
  • St. Helen’s volunteers will be available to wrap purchases at no cost.

Payment for Sold Art

  • Cheques for sold art will be mailed to you by the church following the Fair, less the 20% commission for the church.
